It's a valid point[edit]

I have satellite and one of the channels I get is BBC Kids. They've systematically skipped over every single Dalek story in the series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.77.12.95 (talkcontribs) 19:15, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

American channel?[edit]

BBC Kids is not an american channel, do not refer in the article that it is an american channel, it is Canadian only. If there ahppenes to be an american channel with the same name then create an article for the american channel, but this is a Canadian channel only. MusiMax 20:34, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But I want to contact to the BBC on their website to make an American channel with the same name, and it will be devoted for British kids' programming. [User: Nate Speed] — Preceding undated comment added 19:24, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What the hell??!! BBC K (((IS))) still around[edit]

It never went away at all. The branding and the programming _still_ exists. I'm watching it right now.

The fact that the BBC Kids www.bbckids.ca website doesn't offer a link the BBC K section shows you how badly Canwest is screwing up AA channels. They only list the programming and schedules until BBC Kids signs off for the day. What drugs is everyone smoking here? Macshill (talk) 03:11, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dates for shows[edit]

Since Treehouse TV and YTV now have dates on their shows can someone add the dates for the shows? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:569:BD38:8400:70D9:1A76:5919:46AA (talk) 17:25, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

BBC KidsBBC Kids (Canadian TV channel) – Almost the entire edit history of this article is about the Canadian channel. The current article is unbalanced because editors shoved in the Australian channel into the Canadian article, instead of moving the Canadian channel, and creating an overview article for the "BBC Kids" brand, leading to a new Australian channel article, ending up with three articles. I propose the Canadian article be restored with its edit history at the new location, clearing way for a new article on the brand at this location. The short Australian section can remain as is, while a new summary of the Canadian section is built for the new article at this "BBC Kids" location, and a rollback to the old Canada only article appear at the new "(Canada)" location -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 11:32, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose, for now. Unless you have a draft article ready to go for the Australian channel, there is no need to move this away from the primary namespace today. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 15:47, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Why do you need a draft article on Australia? We don't have an article on the Australian channel now. It would be no different after this move request. There is this article on the brand which was built on top of the article on the Canadian channel, where almost all the content is about the Canadian channel, and the edit history is about the Canadian channel. An article on the brand would be rebuilt after the move. -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 02:41, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • The Australian channel doesn't even exist yet. The Canadian channel is the primary topic. This is WP:TOOSOON. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 14:44, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
        • Then the Australian content needs to be deleted from this article, because it should not be shoved into a Canadian channel article. -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 02:15, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, the two appear unrelated. If and when the Australian channel launches, it should be discussed in its own article. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 14:11, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose for now at least since I agree that this shouldn’t be moved unless there is a plan to create and article for the Australian channel.--67.70.101.238 (talk) 19:17, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • There is no need for an Australian article if you have an overview article, until such a time as there is a need to create one. The current state of this article is more of a WP:COATRACK being a Canadian article disguised as a brand article on Australia and Canada. Fixing that and restoring the article to the state it was before Australia was shoved into it would seem to be the proper way to fix this mess. -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 02:41, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose for now at least until the article about the Australian channel is created. 36.68.161.33 (talk) 22:37, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support along with a disambiguation for BBC Kids. I don't really understand why there's a bunch of unregistered editors/IP addresses arguing about this. Looks very WP:Sockpuppet suspicious. CaffeinAddict (talk) 00:18, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per CaffeinAddict argument and 67.70.27.246 proposal. I believe that the Australian article has no yet created but at least the base name needs to disambiguated. I also want this discussion to involve more experienced editors because i don't think all consensus will be reached only by IPs argument. 116.206.35.26 (talk) 06:40, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose unless the Australian article is created. The Canadian channel is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and doesn't need to disambiguate at this time. 182.3.69.78 (talk) 20:30, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • There is no Canadian article right now. It does not exist. Some editors changed the Canadian article into a brand article, meaning there is no Canadian topic article. Again, why would you ever need to create an Australian topic article first? You could just have a separate brand article and Canadian article. PRIMARYTOPIC would not require an Australian article. If we created an Australian topic article, as of the state of this article, there would still be no Canadian topic article, since this article is currently a brand article and not a Canadian topic article. -- 67.70.27.246 (talk) 02:24, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support should indeed probably be split. Crouch, Swale (talk) 07:04, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose at this time. Instead, create BBC Kids (Australian TV channel), populate it with content, then at some point in time, its notoriety will be superior to the dead canadian one, leading to a timely rename. But not now. InMontreal (talk) 14:15, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose until an Australian article is published, since that means there is no primary topic yet. Feel free to notify me if an Australian article is made, and I'll likely support a move. – DarkGlow • 15:13, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as many editors have stated, instead of moving this article and creating a new article with this title about the brand or the Australian channel, an article named BBC Kids (Australian TV channel) should be created about the Australian channel and at a later date, when the Canadian channel is no longer the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, a move discussion can take place.BrandonXLF (talk) 15:30, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment: I've created the draft Draft:BBC Kids (Australian TV channel).BrandonXLF (talk) 16:34, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
