Error[edit]

Destiny's Child won the "Best Group" Award in 2006, not the Black Eyed Peas. Well, that's what they said when I watched the awards a little while ago.

June 2009 edits and more edits[edit]

After reverting a couple of edits on June 26, 2009, I realized the original edits had removed two sections related to hosts and performers. "and" versus &[edit]

Though this is a minor change, Some people may question when to use the ampersand and when to use the word. As a general rule of thumb, you can rule out some confusion by distuinguishing between abbreviated formats and sentences. The ampersand is perfectly okay in the blocks that list artists that perform together in that year... like (this isn't true, just an example) 2009: Eminemem & The Rascal Flats, Pete Townsend, Elvis Presly & Tina Turner, The Pips. But when used in a sentence, however, it is improper, unless it is in an offical title of something. "Beyonce & Tina Turner perfomed Wind Beneath My Wings" is improper but "And & Ampersand performed in Canada" wouldn't be, because the ampersand (&) is part of their official title... compare the same sentence if they had performed another action "Beyonce & Tina Turner went to the mall." Correctly, it is "Beyonce and Tina Turner went to the mall." Wolfpeaceful (talk) 17:32, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification about Race[edit]

If the awards are for celebrating "African-Americans and other minorities", how can Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (and Eminem, and probably more) be nominated? (Macklemore received four nominations, Eminem five)?
