source assessment[edit]

Hey, AB. Before you go finding 80 sources that mention this place once, let me just start a source assessment.

Source assessment table:
Source Independent? Reliable? Significant coverage? Count source toward GNG?
Oregon Live [1] Yes Yes No bare mention in an article about a different restaurant startup by the same chef No
Portland Oregon Food Crawls [2] Yes ? Yes Could work as single local? ? Unknown
KOIN [3] Yes Yes No maybe 150 words? No
This table may not be a final or consensus view; it may summarize developing consensus, or reflect assessments of a single editor. Created using {{source assess table}}.

I was going to choose the three that were most used -- that is, if there were three that were used many times, I could assume they were more than bare mentions -- but there was only one that was used more than once. So I just used it and the two next sources.

We don't need more sources. We need to know which of the sources are the best sources: the three that provide significant coverage and not just local coverage. All of the sources for this pizza parlor are local coverage. The same sources, over and over. That's just not sigcov for a restaurant.

TBH, I would find it very surprising if a pizza place that was only open for 2 1/2 years would have been notable. It's just...it would be highly unusual. If something did take Portland that much by storm, there would be coverage in other cities. Valereee (talk) 04:31, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
