Title[edit]

Shouldn't the title of this article be baby mama (film)? there is already a baby mama article.Dflav1138 (talk) 00:08, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've renamed this article Baby Mama (film) and fixed the links to it, although I did slightly question the move. If someone was searching for "baby mama" they would end up at the article about the phrase, Baby mama; if they searched for "Baby Mama" (the old title of this article and a proper noun), they would end up at the article for the film. I decided to rename the article per WP:NCF which says "When there is no risk of ambiguity or confusion with an existing Wikipedia article, let the title of the article be the same as the title of the film. But where it is the same as a subject in science, a novel, or whatever, unless the film title is the primary topic for that name, title the film article like this: Film Title (film)." The phrase "Baby Mama" (both words uppercase) does still redirect here and I think that's fine. I suppose "baby mama" could be made into a dab page, but since the phrase predates the film, I think it's fine how it is. --Pixelface (talk) 02:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is also a song called Baby Mama by Fantasia Barrino, although the title of that article is Baby Mama (song). I wouldn't be opposed to later turning Baby Mama into a dab to the song and film, but right now if someone searches for Baby Mama I'm guessing they are probably looking for the film. --Pixelface (talk) 02:39, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The dab page already existed, at Baby mama (disambiguation). I've adjusted the dablinks and redirects per the guidelines:

Baby mama is the article on the phrase
Baby Mama redirects to the dab page, since there are two things with that name and that capitalization.
