Good article nomination on hold

This article's Good Article promotion has been put on hold. During review, some issues were discovered that can be resolved without a major re-write. This is how the article, as of January 8, 2009, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?:

• The WP:LEAD section is one big paragraph. Recommend breaking that up into two, perhaps three, shorter paragraphs.
• There are some language and syntax issues throughout that need to be addressed.
  • I would suggest posting to the talk pages of the relevant WikiProjects for assistance from third-party, previously uninvolved editors, in order to get some fresh eyes on the text of the article.
  • I would also recommend trying to get some folks from WP:GOCE to improve the readability and flow of the article.

2. Factually accurate?: Duly cited throughout. However, it is preferable to have cites at the end of sentences as opposed to at the end of paragraphs - this is okay for now but something to think about working on further going forward.

3. Broad in coverage?: Very nice, I especially like the Interpretation subsection. Any possibility of a Further reading and/or External links subsection?

4. Neutral point of view?: Written in a matter of fact, neutral tone throughout. Passes here.

5. Article stability? See above. Passes here.

6. Images?: See above. Passes here.

Please address these matters soon and then leave a note here showing how they have been resolved. After 48 hours the article should be reviewed again. • I posted a request on WP:GOCE - surely fresh eyes are always welcome. Could you please give me examples of not well readable or not well flowing places in the text?

2. Fixed. (For the paragraphs that are referenced only at the end, the whole text comes from that reference.)

3. Thanks. As for Further reading and/or External links, the books and web pages given in the References section can well serve this purpose, because in almost all of them more details and intricacies regarding local customs with the badnjak are given. VVVladimir (talk) 18:35, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
