Ali, why are you so selective in your editing? The content I added yesterday was accurate. People who live in the town should be given an opportunity to have their say and should not be subjected to control by those who aren't in a position to make a proper judgment as to what is fair and what is nefarious interference. For your information; it's Deli Burger not Deli Buger, the comment about the lake is invented (obviously), calling 'Home' nightclub 'trendy' is as subjective as anything I added to the site, I removed the INC. from Trax Cafe as this was clearly intended to poke fun (Trax Cafe is a small coffee shop), the comment on the Sack of Balbriggan is unintentionally hilarious (the attack was actually carried out as revenge for the murder of a member of the R.I.C. (Royal Irish Constabulary)by two local youths). To sum up Ali; you may fancy yourself as a liberal (judging from your appalling user site) but you (and your ilk) are no better than Herr Goebbels. Note: I put this rant up here because I don't know how to contact people directly on this Stalinesque 'free' encyclopedia. Oh yeh, I love the John Wayne comment. meh.Are ya learned? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jwillet (talkcontribs).

  • There's not a whole lot to respond to here, really. All I'm going to do is move this personal attack and leave it on the talk page. People may judge accordingly. If you have something to say other than making offensive Nazi comparisons, you may leave them on my talk page - Ali-oops 10:10, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Joyous, the above is also applicable to you- your comment to 'our lad' was despicable. Nobody should be banned from using this website. You are an odious cretin. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jwillet (talkcontribs).

Sack of Balbriggan[edit]

Was it the Black and Tans or the Auxiliaries who sacked Balbriggan? The former are often blamed for the atrocities of the latter. Most online sources say the Tans did Balbriggan but this guy implies that it was the Auxies. El Gringo 19:01, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Demographics[edit]

Your information on the demographics is highly informative - of your obvious ignorance and prejudice. You cannot reduce the demographics of a town to a single line revealing how many foreigners and blacks are adin in the feckin' ting. If you are going to give a serious breakdown of the demographics I suggest you visit the Central Statistics Office website. The Irish Times is an excellent newspaper but a laughable source for demography. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.196.231.122 (talk) 16:46, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Population[edit]

Histpop box says 70K people live in Balbriggan. Doesn't sound accurate, to say the least. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.200.152.53 (talk) 18:27, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Smith's Stocking Mill[edit]

Smith's Stocking Mill, or should it be Smyth's Stocking Mill? Having watched a TV programme which included Balbriggan it included old photos of the stocking mill which had a large notice saying 'Smyths Stocking Mill'. So, is it 'Smiths' or 'Smyths'? (at secondary school in late '50s/early '60s we had a maths teacher with the name 'Smyth' - UK) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.99.238.32 (talk) 12:45, 23 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
