April Fools[edit]

Look what Baldo did on April Fools day. [1].

Should it be in the article?--Viridistalk|contributions 19:13, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Setting?[edit]

Has it ever been made clear where in the U.S. the strip is set? Perodicticus (talk) 12:44, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First[edit]

The article currently says Baldo is widely billed the first comic strip featuring Latino characters to be marketd to a mainstream (does that mean non-Latino, or does it mean not in an indy paper?) audience. But what about Gordo (comic strip)? That also seems to fit the definition. So I placed a fact tag. Wikidemon (talk) 01:08, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Two comments. First, Baldo takes place in East Los Angeles and Gordo took place in Mexico. Depending on how you look at it, it may make a difference. Second, the article says that it claims to be the first, not that it is. Baldo's page at Gocomics.com says, "Baldo is our first comic strip that features Latino characters and themes," which isn't quite what the article says. I'm not sure how, if at all, the article should be changed, or what citation would be appropriate, but I did want to point this out for future reference.JDZeff (talk) 18:55, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
