Bandarawela has only an urban council. Therefore it is a town not a city. word "city" used as a praise here, therefore should consider unencyclopedic. the population figure is dubious. it should be the figures for entire bandarawela divisional secretariat, not for bandarawela urban area. parody is if bandarawela has 64,675 population it would put to #1 spot ahead of Badulla, which is the largest town of Uva. therefore put figures for urban council area. you might find facts from central bank report. --chanakal (talk) 05:58, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
