History[edit]

As my English is not so very good, can somebody clarify the History for me:

  • "The district was created in 1904 and named Bang Yai."

We are talking here about Amphoe Bang Kruai, right?

  • "Due to its big size it was difficult to administer, and thus in 1917 the northern part was split off as minor district (King Amphoe) Bang Maenang. 1921 Bang Maenang became a full district."

But there is no full district (that's an Amphoe, isn't it?) Bang Maenang. (This sentence makes only sense, when you read the article about adjacent Amphoe Bang Yai.)

  • "On October 19 1930 the district was renamed to Bang Kruai, after the geographic shape of district - Kruai is the Thai word for cone."

Now that's my problem: when I look at the small map in the article, I cannot even with my best imagination see any cone? Can me somebody tell me please where to look? --hdamm 15:19, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
