Theme

I think we can safely say that the theme's baseline is a reference to / inspired from "Rock 'N' Roll Is Music Now" by James Taylor.

"Rock 'N' Roll Is Music Now" was released June 1, 1974; 7 months and 3 weeks before the January 23, 1975 original Barney Miller air date.

here are the two tracks for comparison.

if i don't receive any objections, i'll be including this in the main article.

thanks,

Sorry but that is WP:OR and WP:SYNTH on your part. It does not belong in the article unless you can find a WP:RS that the composer of the theme for the show intentionally used the other piece of music. MarnetteD|Talk 17:25, 8 December 2016 (UTC)
I know ur not supposed to discuss the subject matter of an article on a talk page, only about the article itself, but I just can't resist saying that it's a pity and amazing that that theme was a studio job/that there is apparantly just 0 way ur going to find an album w/the bunch responsible for it, because I'm pretty sure I know some VERY FUSED PEEPS who would buy any albums by fusion group responsible for song, because I'm pretty sure there r many fusion heads who'd say that's damned good fusion!Slarty1 (talk) 07:36, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
