Link to Hoax Removed[edit]

This is Clay Dreslough, creator of Baseball Mogul. I've removed the link to a press release at Gamers Hell that is actually a hoax. It says we sold 1,000 units in our first month: http://www.gamershell.com/companies/sports_mogul/286318.html If you compare this figure to our annual sales data, you will see that it doesn't make any sense. Although we didn't write that press release, we decided the right thing to do in light of that PR nightmare was to still send $1,000 to charity (we wrote a check to OxFam International). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.80.125.22 (talk) 07:24, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My Update[edit]

I've updated the page, cleaning it up for grammar and trying to fix the tenses and passive voice throughout the piece. I've also tried to remove parts that felt too much like public relations to me, as opposed to an encyclopedia entry. Hey EBG, it looks good to me! I updated this article from stub status a long time ago, but neglected to take away the tag, so thanks for that. I might make a few grammatical / cosmetic changes at some point, but I probably won't add much in the way of factual information. I haven't had a new version of the game since 2005. I also think you and I are the only people watching this page, since very few edits have been made since mine in May.
If you're looking for another project, Baseball Mogul Online is still unwritten. I've been meaning to do it for a while, but I've never gotten around to it. I'm not sure if you're a fan of that though, or if you've even played it at all. SGreenwell 06:15, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2016[edit]

I *finally* updated this for 2016. I wouldn't be surprised if Sro23 or one of the robo-editors/admins reverts those changes. I will be updating it for 2017 as well. Personally I prefer Diamond because some bugs in 2016 made it nearly unplayable for me, though most players don't care about that (losing old transaction data with old saves loading in 2016) 2601:647:4581:6437:0:0:0:5555 (talk) 01:08, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
