Basketball at the 1904 Summer Olympics was held at the St Louis World’s Fair and 100 Year Celebration of the Louisiana Purchase. There was also a girls’ basketball championship game. The Fort Shaw Indian girls took on any challengers. On October 4th, 1904, the Fort Shaw Indian team was declared the World Champion.[edit]
