Bata and Bat[edit]

Bata is an Egyptian male god, and Bat is the name of the goddess. Please read Susan T. Hollis, in: Chronique d'Égypte 59, 1984, page 248-257, where you can find more literature concerning Bata the male god.. Please excuse my bad English. I found out that you need references or sources for the female god Bat. Here is the best reference: Lexikon der Ägyptologie I, Wiesbaden 1975, 630-632. The best way to solve the problem is moving the article Bata (goddess) to Bat (goddess). Best wishes from --Gudrun Meyer 23:44, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now I edited this article by myself. You only have to move Bata (goddess) to Bat (goddess), because I do not dare it. Best wishes from --Gudrun Meyer 19:29, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am very disappointed that I got no answer since May 24th 2007 in the Talk: Bata (goddess). Now I’ll move Bata (goddess) to Bat (goddess) myself. She is really written B3t, not Bata (cf. Faulkner, Pyramid Texts, Utterance 506, p. 181). You can find a new article concerning Bata (god), which I started today. With kindest regards --Gudrun Meyer 20:18, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

assertions in article[edit]

I want to edit this article and I find it is full of statements which are widely quoted across the internet. One is the identification of Bat with the Milky Way - I can't find this in Wilkinson (one of the reference sources) and I intend to remove it. I am going to go through the article and delete anything which is doubtful or unreferenced. Apepch7 (talk) 19:26, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Did you? What was removed? פשוט pashute ♫ (talk) 11:43, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
