Legal[edit]

Has anyone considered devoting some research to the legal similarities of the Federal evacuation of Gotham and the Federal evacuation on New Orleans and Katrina victimized-areas? -- CaptainMike 18:34, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That seems kind of uncalled for since this was written way before Hurricane Katrina, so the writers could not have intentionally drawn any parallels.--Mullon 18:42, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it displays some relevance to the critical reaction to NML -- comic critics downplayed the Batman series' complete Federal evacuation of a major city as 'unrealistic', if i recall correctly, but then we had a very similar instance in real life. -- CaptainMike 17:54, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tie-In[edit]

I guess it should be noted that the JLA storyline World War III happened at the same time as this story. WW3 showed exactly what DC does to make huge stupid writing mistakes from time to time. In the JLA storyline near the end, practically every major city in the world is devastated. At the end of the story every city EXCEPT Gotham, which happened to be devastated months earlier, are repaired. In effect they skip Gotham because they want to keep the story No Man's Land going, but every other city needs repairs to maintain the status quo. Wait, why was the story bad? Because some other comic had a different story? I think you need to accept that this is just a feature of comics universes and also a situation in which you may not know the exact timeline. I think he's saying it's bad because in Batman titles, they don't rebuild Gotham City but in JLA, they repair every city in the world EXCEPT Gothat City... And I must admit even for comic books, it's disturbing... Reznor Arnaud 17:57, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Er, the entry actually explains why the JLA didn't repair Gotham: "The Justice League of America were forbidden by law from entering the city." --Gokitalo (talk) 23:54, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Issues[edit]

Perhaps there could be more done about the issues. I would like to know exactly which issues tied in to NML but which were not published in the TPB.

Also some (a lot) more information about 'aftershock' and 'road to no mans land' please. i know nothing about these stories and they do not seem to be covered anywhere here.

Is the cleanup warning (still) necessary?[edit]

The title says it's comics. The first sentence says it's a comic storyline. The main "in-universe" section is titled "plot". Isn't that enough clue for the reader that this is a work of fiction? 71.41.210.146 05:16, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot[edit]

The plot section is confusingly long and oddly, the sub-sections are not editable. And the JLA do -NOT- enter Gotham, for legal reasons and because they are dealing with threats that do want to invade Gotham.

Arkham Asylum[edit]

Remove "No mans land is the main inspiration for the upcoming sequel to the Batman video-game, Batman: Arkham Asylum. a trailer shows the joker still beaten from his previous battle with Batman in Arkham Asylum assuming us to think that the game may take place weeks after the first one ended." Harley Quinn[edit]

Comment the manga comic already has an article, No Man's Land (manga), making the current title ambiguous, therefore the current title should redirect to the disambiguation page, as already mentioned.
