Lede too long[edit]

A lot of the information in the lede is trivial and should be moved into the main article. (5.81.223.50 (talk) 19:01, 11 March 2017 (UTC))[reply]

MOS:LEAD - "The lead should stand on its own as a concise overview of the article's topic. It should identify the topic, establish context, explain why the topic is notable, and summarize the most important points, including any prominent controversies." There's no trivia. Query[edit]

Why is an ex conservative MP described as simply a historian? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.3.212.146 (talk) 20:53, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The only person i can see described as a historian is Tristram Hunt, who was a Labour MP and graduated Cambridge with a first in history, has taught and published many books on history and is a fellow of the Royal Historical Society. --173.177.177.130 (talk) 14:22, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
