B-class review[edit]

Passed. I see no problems with referencing, practically all sentences have inline cites. The article could use an aftermath section before being considered for GA class. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 22:11, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Ushant?[edit]

I'm not entirely sure why this article is titled "Battle of Ushant" when it took place off Ile de Batz. The other Battles of Ushant during the American Revolution were in the open ocean and named after the closest point of land, while this one took place closer to land in the English Channel. What is the source for this name and would the possibility of renaming the article be considered? McMuff (talk) 17:12, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well one is this Polish work. But it does seem thin on the ground, and the cite on the statement in the Haida article doesn't contain the term anywhere in the book. Maury Markowitz (talk) 02:55, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, this too. Maury Markowitz (talk) 02:58, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Its also worth pointing out that the Revolutionary-era battle took place further from Ushant than this one. Maury Markowitz (talk) 12:07, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
