Business history v. history[edit]

@User:Wmdarrow, how is the history section more appropriate then business history when there is only business history in that section? I would like for there to be more there, flesh it out and such, and the page is on my radar for doing so. But until that happens and there is other history in there I think that my labeling was correct. Rap Chart Mike (talk) 12:08, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi mike - 'cause it's not just business. The BFRSC had a tidal impact on the culture and population of BF. It WAS Beacon Falls. The entire hill section above the factory was laid out and built under a master plan associated with the factory. I think the section makes it fairly clear the the BFRSC was not just another business in town - it had a profound and lasting impact on the community. From music, to movies, to dancing, to architecture, during the formative years of the town, most elements were conceived in or associated with BFRSC. At that time broad-minded folks like the BFRSC owners were deeply invested in their communities (less so now I think), and it showed in this instance. My wife's family lived in Beacon Falls for generations, and stimulated my interest in the town. Also, there is no alternative "history" section. Thanks for your interest, and the good links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wmdarrow (talkcontribs) 12:48, 10 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
