Bokan is a Turkish name. Not Kurdish. The name Bokan can be also found in Bosnia, which once was part of the Ottoman Empire (Turkish). Please change that

Lead[edit]

There's a tag on this article indicating it is missing a lead. To my eye it looks to have a lead, so I removed the tag; my change was reverted so I thought I would bring the issue here for further discussion. I am not sure quite what Walter Görlitz (talk · contribs) is looking for, but I am all for improving the article. Thoughts? --TeaDrinker (talk) 11:52, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaDrinker: Your eyes are deceiving you. There is a big set of paragraphs at the top of the article, but there's no lede. Then, an arbitrary break a "personal life" section and standard "works" section. I have looked at how the article opens and there is no way to break that section arbitrarily to create a lede and a body, which is probably why I tagged it that way in the first place. There's really no bio and WP:MUSICBIO doesn’t appear to have been met, so a clean-up or deletion is probably in order. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:34, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Walter Görlitz: Thanks for your quick reply! Let's be clear, there's no basis to delete an article which needs "clean -up." Tossing that out as an alternative to clean-up lacks a basis in policy. However let's try to improve the lead. Keeping WP:LEAD in mind, what would you say is missing or could be changed? --TeaDrinker (talk) 16:50, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Right. There are enough references to keep. We just need to craft a referenced biography on the subject and keep the current content as the lede. Too bad there’s no "biography needed" tag. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:03, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like a great goal, but what would you like to see so that every start class article is not tagged as missing a lead? --TeaDrinker (talk) 17:18, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is not that it's a start class, it's that the first section is a personal life and no actual bio. Walter Görlitz (talk) 17:28, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
