McCartney tribute[edit]

Is it true that there was a little tribute to Macca with the line "every day is getting better"? Cubzrule (talk) 18:37, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there is anything to substantiate this claim. There is little to suggest the acrimony between Lennon and McCartney had dissipated at this point. In fact, a Wiki article suggests otherwise, saying that Lennon had been happy to stay out of the music scene (from 1975) as long as McCartney was releasing, and I don't have an actual quote, "terrible" music. It is claimed that only after McCartney released "Coming Up," which it is claimed Lennon said he couldn't get it out of his head, that he decided to record again. To think Lennon was even thinking of McCartney, much less pay tribute to him, while writing this unabashed love song for his son is a stretch. I would wait for a citation before believing this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.204.121.222 (talk) 03:02, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

CD Single[edit]

Considering that CDs weren't released in 1980, I think it's safe to assume that the intial release was NOT a CD Single. It was in fact a 7" single. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.225.167.179 (talk) 16:13, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
