Date Of Birth?[edit]

This is one thing I've never understood about cartoon articles. How in the heck can people determine the birth date of Beavis? It was never clearly mentioned in the series. This part should really be removed for most US cartoon articles unless there is an exact date in the canon of the show.

His date of birth can be determined by watching the episode "The Final Judgement of Beavis."74.131.179.238 (talk) 22:57, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
His birth date in that episode was October 28, 1979 not December 30, 1981 --Davidscott12 (talk) 02:10, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You, Drive Through[edit]

What does the above phrase mean? - Ndrly 08:47, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's what a cashier would say to someone who's just placed their order at a drive-through fast food joint (such as Burger World), another form being "Drive through, please". Beavis is thus parrotting what he was told to say at work -- probably the closest he gets to real manners. Dave-ros 19:40, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think Beavis is certainly a lot nicer than Butthead. He greets with "Hey, how's it going?", he apologizes for his behavior (at least when not in Butthead's presence) and he can make friends easily. - Ndrly 07:21, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Beavisprofile.jpg[edit]

Image:Beavisprofile.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:36, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personality trait[edit]

"when discussing various subjects that neither he nor Butt-head understand, is the more likely to guess the truer mechanisms at work"

Can anyone provide examples of this? The only moment I can recall is when Beavis figured out what blow up dolls were for in their Thanksgiving special appearance.--24.255.171.220 (talk) 01:38, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are tons of examples if you watched all 199 episodes religiously. Including his critique of the band Korn. But in general, it's made quite obvious that Beavis is actually smarter (but perhaps not socially) than Butt-head, but that Butt-head intentionally holds Beavis back. Thoughts[edit]

Too much original research, too few citations. Lots42 (talk) 20:34, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Great Cornholio to this article[edit]

Great Cornholio does not have any third party sourcing - a requirement for a stand-alone article WP:N / WP:V. Any encyclopedic content from Cornholio can be merged here. -- The Red Pen of Doom 03:51, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. --John (talk) 06:16, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Idiot editors[edit]

I actually got a "vandalism warning" for putting the word "fart knocker" into the article. Why are some Wikipedia editors so clueless? 200.166.248.132 (talk) 12:17, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is this true? 68.45.109.136 (talk) 17:18, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bot needed[edit]

Is there a bot that can fix all the MOS errors of italicizing episode names? I can't be bothered to do it manually. --208.38.59.162 (talk) 17:08, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Beavis' penis[edit]

Ooops, I didn't spot the "reproduced without permission" tag on the website. The original source isn't online User:Dp76764, but I think I have the magazine lurking somewhere up in my attic. If I can find it, the FHM interview with Mike Judge would be ok as a source right? Hillbillyholiday talk 00:54, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Q: If you had to have sex with either Beavis or Butt-head, who would you choose?
A: Probably Beavis, because he'd put up less of a fight. But if I was the passive partner, then it would have to be Butt-head. I figure Beavis is one of those guys who God didn't give much at all except for a big penis. One of those guys with a gigantic schlong. It would certainly hurt.
If there was once an online source, you can link to it via the Wayback Machine. Reliability aside, this seems like an extremely trivial item to add. DP76764 (Talk) 03:39, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Mmm, I know it would be trivial in just about any other article, but in this case it does show how Beavis' creator sees him as someone with nothing else going for him. And if the phrase "gigantic schlong" is going to appear anywhere in wikipedia it should be here. (It's quite some quote from Judge - which is why I still remembered it after more than fifteen years!)
