Episodes[edit]

Any word on number of episodes? 220.245.146.235 (talk) 06:18, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good question! The article currently claims "Originally 13 episodes were to be aired, but only 12 were produced." A citation is provided for the first part of that statement ("originally 13 episodes were to be aired"), but not for the second ("but only 12 were produced"). Now, there's no question that only 12 episodes were aired, but were really only 12 episodes produced? 12-episode production orders are very unusual for American primetime television; the usual number for half-season orders is 13. Were there really only 12 episodes produced, or was it that there were 13 episodes produced but only 12 aired due to low ratings? If anyone has more detailed/specific information on this, please add it to the article with citations! :) —Lowellian (reply) 21:18, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I can't cite a source for this, so I won't add it to the main page. The main page talks about the 13th episode. I have seen this episode and the timeline of it does not make sense. I believe it was intended to take place between the 6th and 7th episodes. I suspect that they could only get airtime for 12 episodes and this one was chosen to be cut because it didn't really advance the main story - however in New Zealand for some reason they aired all 13, but aired this one at the end. Series overview section[edit]

There is no point in having a series overview for a show that only has one season. There are no DVD release dates as of yet, and when it is released it can simply be put in its own section in text form, and the series premiere and finale dates can be found in the episode table. The main function of a series overview is to provide a condensed version of information for multiple seasons of a TV series. Since there will be no future seasons of Believe, a series overview serves no purpose at all. — Wyliepedia 15:14, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. A series overview is an overview of a series of episodes. That is what a "series" is, regardless of how many seasons the episodes happen to span. ~Amatulić (talk) 18:55, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. Series overview is a standard format, and an overview for a short series is a short series overview. Better to treat all TV shows the same than to make exceptions for short ones. Morfusmax (talk) 22:34, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Wyliepedia. I don't think you two are getting the main point. It's not about the definition of "series". It's about the use of the table. It's totally unnecessary to have this table for only one season. --Musdan77 (talk) 02:18, 17 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Series overview and episode tables are both standard for TV series Wikipedia articles, so support inclusion of both. —Lowellian (reply) 21:21, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
