I don't want to tag this in the article, because I'm worried it would look really bad, but after reviewing the current references, the following is uncited:

  • The impetus for developing the Bell 429 came primarily from the emergency medical services (EMS) industry, which has been looking for an updated helicopter.
  • The Bell 427 was originally intended to address this market, but the 427's small cabin size would not adequately accommodate a patient litter, and the systems did not support instrument flight rules (IFR) certification.
  • Bell is also partnering with Korea Aerospace Industries and Mitsui Bussan Aerospace of Japan in the helicopter's development.
  • The launch customer for the Bell 429 is Air Methods Corporation, the largest medevac provider in the United States.

There's a Bell Helicopter brochure that includes specifications. It has no date on it nor a version or revision number. I don't see it online either. Change main image[edit]

I am considering switching the two 429 demonstrator images in the article now. This would move the in-flight image (File:Bell429-N108984-0584.jpg) to the infobox and move the display image (File:Bell 429.JPG) to later in the article. One issue is that the on display image is a better image, while the other image is a flight one. What do others think? -Fnlayson (talk) 15:03, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A very new article about a relatively new aircraft. Very little information about development of the aircraft and how it was developed as a hybrid of the Bell 427. (Born2flie 01:04, 16 November 2006 (UTC))[reply]
