Wrong place for repression?[edit]

Why does the article speak mainly about post-Civil War repression, rather than the castle itself? Also, the article gives the impression that Jovellanos was imprisoned there after the Civil War, which he was not (Jovellanos died in 1811) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.49.39.78 (talk) 13:23, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not a member of the Spanish history group, so I feel that I should not write here, but the information about the victims of the Franco dictatorship and its roots should be included in an article about modern Spanish history, not here. There is certainly much more relevant to be said about the Belver fortification. How soon could someone take care of this? Lave (talk) 18:41, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mounted peelers[edit]

A Google search for "mounted peelers" yields several hits, all of which simply make the same statement that is made in this article: "The surrounding forest encloses the stables of the city's Mounted Peelers." No explanations whatsoever. So -- what are they, who are they, and why are they? 67.231.66.125 (talk) 21:16, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
