New material[edit]

A lot of material has been added to this article, possibly by the poet himself, without any sources being cited. Descriptions such as 'proven' and 'accomplished' give the new material the tone of an advertising blurb rather than a serious encyclopedia article, which should stick to facts rather than opinions. These should be removed. Sources should be added for the new information added. Kanjuzi (talk) 05:27, 1 June 2016 (UTC) - 'much sought after' and 'brilliantly written' are further examples of self-publicity. These things are liable to be deleted. I have edited the text to make the style more encyclopedic. I have deleted the book Mawu Koma Awa ndi ndakatulo zina ('These Are The Words and other poems'), Chancellor College Publications, Zomba (2011), from the Bibliography as there is no record on the Chancellor College website or elsewhere on the Internet that such a book has been published. Sources are still required for some of the statements in the article, for example, the statement about the award for being the best-selling poet in Malawi. Kanjuzi (talk) 09:07, 1 June 2016 (UTC) - I have now deleted that statement, as it has no source in any published document, or any reference to who gave the award or when it was given.
