Split[edit]

Copying @PigeonChickenFish's query (More RS citations and details have been added. We may want to consider having two separate articles, esp if we develop this more - one for Bowles and a second one for Douglass University?) here as it's one that can be resolved in mainspace vs. continued incubation. @FloridaArmy haven't created your requested redirects (Douglass University, Benjamin Franklin Bowles, Benjamin Bowles, B.F. Bowles and B. F. Bowles should redirect here) until Pigeon's query resolved, which may render them moot. If you can't create them, ping me to advise which are needed and I'm happy to. I support splitting out Douglass University. I wonder if there are notable alumni? Thanks to those who generously helped get this interwsting and important subject into mainspace. FloridaArmy (talk) 00:18, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thank you for always getting us started and flagging particularly promising ones. Star Mississippi 00:23, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I tried my best to cleanly split the two so they both still made sense (see Draft:Douglass University). Please feel free to make any changes/edits. Thanks! PigeonChickenFish (talk) 06:55, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've accepted the draft. Do we still need any redirects? Star Mississippi 13:40, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Star Mississippi: I would say no because the names "Benjamin Bowles", and "B.F. Bowles" are not used in sources and one is a spacing issue only. We currently have two redirects made, "Benjamin Franklin Bowles" and "B. F. Bowles". Eventually "Douglass University" will be a standalone article. Maybe @FloridaArmy: feels differently though? PigeonChickenFish (talk) 18:07, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Benjamin Bowles is used here. Is it reasonable to search B.F. Bowles and expect to be redirected? Not a huge deal. I stopped doing that kind of redirect. FloridaArmy (talk) 20:43, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK I will add a redirect to Benjamin Bowles too. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 02:13, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Missing citations but should add later (with RS citation)[edit]

He had been married twice to Annie R. Anderson, followed by Caroline "Carrie" King Johnson. In total he had five children. PigeonChickenFish (talk) 00:39, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was able to find an RS citation for this.[1] PigeonChickenFish (talk) 07:10, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
