Question[edit]

Hello Serena I. Volpi, hope you're enjoying WP so far. Per the WP guideline WP:Conflict of interest, do you have a conflict of interest regarding this article? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:28, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thank you for your message. I've read the WP guideline and I don't think I have any conflicts of interest. I am an academic working on cultural anthropology and African-American/African diaspora literature and arts (https://uniroma3.academia.edu/SerenaVolpi?from_navbar=true). I'm committed to giving visibility to women artists and literary figures and artists from so-called minorities. Mr Reid and I have common acquaintances but never met each other in person. I was interested in his work and decided to start a Wikipedia page on him when I noticed he didn't have one. At that point, I had the possibility to interview him personally via Skype but I'm aware Wikipedia does not accept original research. However, those passages underlined are statements Mr Reid has shared with me, but also available on other sites more or less in the same form, so I will make sure to support the underlined passage with some evidence. I wasn't paid for writing this page, as for the most part of my academic writing. I hope I have addressed any possible conflicts of interest.
