A few ideas to improve this article:[edit]

  • Include more pictures
  • Break the "Life" section down into numerous sections (early life, career, late life, family, etc.)
  • Utilize more sources
  • Give far greater detail to the information that is already there
  • Reword some of the sentences to ensure clarity
  • Make the "lead section" longer

Working Bibliography[edit]

(this source has already been cited in the article, but it still has much more relevant information that I can draw from)

  • Thomas N. Maytham. "An Expulsion from Paradise by Benvenuto Di Giovanni." Bulletin of the Museum of Fine Arts 55, no. 300 (1957): 44-46. http://www.jstor.org/stable/4171262.
  • "BENVENUTO DI GIOVANNI DI MEO DEL GUASTA." Benezit Dictionary of Artists. Oxford Art Online. Oxford University Press, accessed February 21, 2017, http://www.oxfordartonline.com/subscriber/article/benezit/B00016696.
  • ARTstor (specific links to follow) (source for some of Benvenuto di Giovanni's works)
  • Benvenuto di Giovanni, Girolamo di Benvenuto: their altarpieces in the J. Paul Getty Museum. And a summary catalogue of their paintings in America (book by Burton B. Fredericksen and Darrell D. Davisson)

I plan on having more sources, but this is what I have compiled so far. Tsd14 (talk) 17:26, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review and Copy Edit[edit]

Hi Tsd14, here is my review of your article:

Lead Section: I think that your lead section is very strong. It concisely highlights who this person was, it answers: who, what, when,... I would maybe include a brief 'where' sentence in the lead, something more specific than just Italy.

Sensible Structure: Your article has a clearly defined structure based on the contents box. I think the current structure is logical, but as you add more information I would add more subcategories, similar to how you have sub headings for works that you expand on.

Neutral Content: Your content is encyclopedic and overall neutral, which is required for a wiki article.

Reliable Sources: The one thing I did notice is that your references section does not match with the in-text citations. For example, in-text citations are numerical but when you scroll down to your reference section, they are alphabetical. Thus, I am unable to distinguish which in-text citation corresponds to which reference.

Overall, I think your article is well written. I did not catch any glaring spelling or grammar mistakes. I think that you could definitely include more pictures to spice up the page's visual components. ArtStor is a great place to get copyright-free images. I liked the incorporation of the table because it presents information in a very clear way. This is something I might consider adding to my own article.

Hope this helps! Taylorracioppi (talk) 03:33, 6 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
