Very un-NPOV

Completely one-sided, and badly out-of-date to boot. Compare Kenneth Lay.

Is there some sort of tag that could be added to mark it as such? Ojw 19:12, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

Two different anons have added category information claiming that Ebbers is Jewish American. Does anyone have any references to support this claim? To the best of my knowledge Ebbers' faith has been an evangelical christian since childhood and I have seen no evidence to support a claim his being an ethnic Jew. --Allen3 talk 01:19, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

  • By jewish american, does it mean ethnicity or religion? If we're talking about religion, yes Bernard self-identifies as a christian. Could Ebbers be a jewish name? Taco325i 02:16, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

Calvin College alumn?

I think that it is unfair to list Ebbers as a Calvin College alumn. He "attended" there "briefly", according to the article. An alumn has a degree from the school identified. Rlquall 15:46, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

I double checked my dictionary and found that his brief attendance does technically make him an alum. That being said, I agree that listing Ebbers as an alum of Calvin College is a significant stretch of the truth. The original source (excerpt with relevant passage available here) calls the experience a "debacle" and no sources indicating that Ebbers maintained any sort of tie with Calvin College after his departure having been presented. As a result, I would have no problems with the category being removed from the article. --Allen3 talk 20:19, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Aw Shucks Defense

"Aw Shucks Defense" redirects to this page, but the section on the aw shucks defense was removed some time back. Should it get its own page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.79.187.250 (talk) 04:23, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

What did he do, exactly?

The article is light here. What was the exact nature of the fraud, and what did he hope to do with the proceeds? I can guess at some of it, but more facts needed here. 41.77.1.147 (talk) 18:12, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
