First translation?[edit]

Without a date given it's hard to tell, but it seems like the first translation from Afrikaans would have been done by someone born earlier than Mr. Lewis. Does this come from one of the sources listed?WQUlrich (talk) 02:48, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS: I left all those red names in because it seemed like they might be people worth considering for articles of their own. South African art does not seem to be well-covered.
