This article used to be longer and it is now in a sad state. I can at least provide a discography. Not even an approximate birth date? Just because Beto expressed another culture is no reason to treat him this way. I don't know what's going on here. At least there used to be a picture. Beto is one of a very few bootstrap geniuses, but do we treat Sun Ra or Marvin Gaye like this simply because they were born into a poor family (less in the case of Gaye, find another example...). Or is it because all of his songs are in Spanish? I don't even understand what he's singing; I don't understand Spanish; but I love it. I will now work on the article, and the first thing I will do is look at the versions that have been overwritten and restore the parts that are verifiable. 72.182.33.219 (talk) 22:22, 4 May 2015 (UTC) Eric[reply]

Many difficulties, but I have revised the current text to make it (I hope) more encyclopedic. Since I don't understand Spanish well, I have to run things through Google Translate, first the whole thing to get the general idea, then pieces that seem unclear, and also look up individual words in other references. My comment on the word "mero" is an example. (Also, the "Biografia" article used as a reference is not well-written, it seems to me.
