Names in first sentence[edit]

Given MOS:MULTIPLENAMES and MOS:HYPOCORISM, I don't know whether the opening sentence should read:

  • Elizabeth Wade (July 18, 1929 – December 3, 2020), also known by her married name Elizabeth Boylan...
  • Elizabeth Boylan (July 18, 1929 – December 3, 2020), better known as Betsy Wade...

I would support Elizabeth Wade (July 18, 1929 – December 3, 2020), also known by her married name Elizabeth Boylan... as it seems to conform with what is typically done on Wikipedia. I have seen several examples where this type of format is used. Jurisdicta (talk) 23:54, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I actually don't like either of those. She's known as Betsy Wade. The best choice for the lead sentence, if not Betsy Wade, is imo Elizabeth Wade Boylan, as a standard way of referring to women who've changed their name via marriage. —valereee (talk) 00:43, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
