What is the year the city was founded?[edit]

I am getting conflicting information on the founding year of the Bhavnagar city. http://www.bhavnagar.com/history.asp and http://www.4dw.net/royalark/India/bhavnag3.htm mentions the year to be 1723 AD, but the Bhavnagar collectorate website (http://collectorbhavnagar.gujarat.gov.in/ -> Information -> History) mentions it as 1743 AD. 1723 AD is correct. Article is corrected now.

Famous educational institutes[edit]

Guys, I am tired of removing links to all and sundry 'educational institudes' from the famous list? All schools are and need not be famous. I am removing added entries again. -- Square 14:09, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Information about Virendrai C Mehta[edit]

This para about Shri Virendrai C Mehta should go to its own page whenever possible. I am removing it from here for now.

Today a road bearing his name stands as V C Mehta Marg near Ghogha Circle. He has authored several publications such as Griha Vidhan, Shilpa Samrudhi, Kala Kaushalya and Gram Vidhan . He also planned the town of Gondal in Gujarat and City of Nagpur in Maharashtra. He was affiliated with the Government of Gujarat and was the member of the Housing Board.

Years[edit]

I took out the AD for the early 18th century references but didn't go through and take care of the rest yet in case there was a reason it was there that I didn't know about. Advertising of hotels shops etc.[edit]

The entertainment and hospitality sections seem to just be advertising local businesses. I've removed some of the peacock terms and puffery but it still needs work. Is it necessary to list so many different hotels and shops, can these be removed?Sarahj2107 (talk) 23:00, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Takhteshwar Mahadev Temple[edit]
