Last "Hit" in a Decade[edit]

I'd dispute the line that Big River "was the last American hit musical for almost a decade". The citation listed states that after Big River, "a full decade would go by before a new American musical would pass the 1,000 performance mark." Those two statements are not equivalent. And, after reading the cited article, I think the author takes some liberties with the numbers and definition of "new."

I'd like to remove the citation, but wanted to see if there were any objections before doing so. Nybound 14:25, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree -- I got rid of it. The sentence, now, is a little POV, but, given the subject matter of the show, I think it's okay.... —  MusicMaker 08:02, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox Awards List[edit]

If you go to edit the infobox for this page you read, "Please do not include production-specific (acting, directing, etc.) awards." As a result, the infobox only lists the Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Score. But, those awards were given to the original 1985 Broadway production. They are production specific. Even if we agree the book and score will always be by the same artists, that does not mean future Broadway revivals will win these same awards. They are all specific to the 1985 production, so why not list all of the awards this production won? Or, all of the Tony awards and Drama Desk awards any production of Big River has ever won? This would seem all the more logical when considering Wikipedia's desire to link one page to several others. This is another clearly visible spot where any actors, the director, etc., can have their respective pages linked.
