Untitled[edit]

I heard that Bionic Six is one of the few cartoons that was shown in Arab countries, so a lot of people who grew up there are familiar with it. Anyone know any more about it? --71.125.20.130 06:59, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:ProfSharp.jpg[edit]

Image:ProfSharp.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Past Tense?[edit]

Why is the entire character section written in the past tense? ChibiKareshi 14:53, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. I rewrote/tweaked the character bios, including adding citations Jrh7925 (talk) 23:16, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Synopses[edit]

Trying to add in some episode synopses as I watch through my old VHS tapes. Also tried some character & credits clean-up. Feel free to tweak for spelling & grammar. Jrh7925 (talk) 04:09, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I hit critical mass on the descriptions, so I created a new page of the List of Bionic Six episodes and moved episode list there. Jrh7925 (talk) 20:14, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling of Names[edit]

As I rebuilt the various character bios, I tried to take an objective eye to the spelling of names. Some of the spellings I have confirmed:

  • "Dr. Amadeus Sharp" in the episode "Happy Birthday, Amadeus"
  • The characters' code names and the Bennett family first names from their copyright logs
  • The last name "Bennett" from the Bionic Six Super Picture Book

The other names may or may not be spelled correctly. Jrh7925 (talk) 23:19, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The spelling of the name "Bennett" is actually recited within the series itself when a professional baseball scout is observing Eric with interest in the episode "Eric Bats a Thousand". ~ 172.129.67.188 (talk) 13:04, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need help with Bunji's father[edit]

Does anyone know who voiced him?

(He is the recurring character who secretly saves his son Bunji from danger; seen in at least 2 episodes, possibly 3 or 4. EDIT: I figured out how the VO Credits are done. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ALSO WONDERING: THE GUEST STARS IN A GIVEN EPISODE ARE PRINTED AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE IN THE CLOSING CREDITS, ABOVE THE NAMES OF THE REGULAR VOICE-ACTING CAST. I believe, therefore, that Bunji's father was voiced by a man named Shuko Akune (whose body of work I don't know about, just yet, and who I've never heard of before), and have listed his name in the appropriate place in the sub-article involving Recurring Characters.Thanos777 (talk) 02:50, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mention Universal connexion to Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman?[edit]

I was wondering whether it should be mentioned, but didn't want to make the edit myself. Basically, the edit would look like this:

The title characters of the series are a family of machine-enhanced human beings possessing unique powers after being augmented with bionic technology, much like The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman, two television shows which were also produced by Universal Television.

What's YOUR opinion?

I would not make this comparison unless there is a third-party reliable source that has already done so. To my mind, making these sorts of analogies without sourcing to back us up is a form of original research, albeit a mild one. Doniago (talk) 16:30, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
