I feel like you could add lots more details. This disorder seems like it would be very scary since you can't control your own moods. You should go more into detail about treatment since that's a common want among people who suffer from Bipolar. I feel like you have a few good points, but it would be a much better article if you added details. I think it would be cool if you researched what it's like to have bipolar, then make a "day in the life" article. That way people would really understand what it's like to have to deal with bipolar. — comment added by ClaireESchuster (talkcontribs) 16 September 2011 (UTC)

The article could use more details. It should go into how people deal with the disorder and the type of treatments or medication that people can take who have the disorder. It should be something that informal and easy to read something that people with the disorder can relate to.Editing Bipolar NOS --Cierra 22:11, 18 September 2011 (UTC)KillaCece--Cierra 22:11, 18 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Killa Cece (talkcontribs) [reply]

Just added a sentence[edit]

I felt that knowing the percentage of people with Bipolar NOS is not only interesting, but a very important statistic. Otherwise the contributions of Jtiller11 was a great addition to the article.

I edited part of your sentence to allow it to flow for the reader, it was good information, i feel as though that there could be more statistics added into the site Rameyer13 (talk) 02:05, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

Please review WP:MEDRS and Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2008-06-30/Dispatches for understanding sourcing of medical articles. Here are just a couple of samples of free full-text recent secondary reviews that might be useful:

  • Filaković P, Erić AP, Požgain I (2011). "New strategies in the treatment of bipolar disorder" (PDF). Psychiatr Danub. 23 (3): 293–9. PMID 21963700. {{cite journal}}: Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help)CS1 maint: multiple names: authors list (link)

There are plenty of reviews available in PubMed and no need to resort to sub-optimal or primary sources here.

Please also review WP:MEDMOS for the sections and order of sections recommended in medical articles. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 21:16, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Impact of recent student edits[edit]

This article has recently been edited by students as part of their course work for a university course. As part of the quality metrics for the education program, we would like to determine what level of burden is placed on Wikipedia's editors by student coursework.

If you are an editor of this article who spent time correcting edits to it made by the students, please tell us how much time you spent on cleaning up the article. Please note that we are asking you to estimate only the negative effects of the students' work. If the students added good material but you spent time formatting it or making it conform to the manual of style, or copyediting it, then the material added was still a net benefit, and the work you did improved it further. If on the other hand the students added material that had to be removed, or removed good material which you had to replace, please let us know how much time you had to spend making those corrections. This includes time you may have spent posting to the students' talk pages, or to Wikipedia noticeboards, or working with them on IRC, or any other time you spent which was required to fix problems created by the students' edits. Any work you did as a Wikipedia Ambassador for that student's class should not be counted.

Please rate the amount of time spent as follows:

  • 0 -No unproductive work to clean up
  • 1 - A few minutes of work needed
  • 2 - Between a few minutes and half an hour of work needed
  • 3 - Half an hour to an hour of work needed
  • 4 - More than an hour of work needed

Please also add any comments you feel may be helpful. We welcome ratings from multiple editors on the same article. Add your input here. Thanks! -- LiAnna Davis (WMF) (talk) 20:45, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
