improvements ?

I feel this article needs various improvements.

Alternatively it could be merged intoBird migration perils or there could at least be a mention in that page.

1. Inaccuracies/inconsistencies - for example, not all birds migrate southwards !
2. Definition - Is bird fallout a purely US expression ?
   - if so we should be saying so !
   - or should we include some other examples from across the wider world ?
3. Scope - Should we include the example of a flock of geese or waders being pushed across the ocean or across a continent by bad weather, off the usual flyway ?

I would make some changes myself but I do not have ready-to-hand references: please help ! jw (talk) 13:21, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
