Differences in the title[edit]

Perhaps it should be noted that the song has been labeled "Bird on a wire" by other artists, and even by Cohen himself, in The Essential Leonard Cohen, track # 6. Nazroon 05:50, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just listened to the song and Cohen sings "bird on A wire". I suppose he should know. --189.130.34.211 (talk) 01:16, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, that's how I always heard it. I also heard "drunken midnight choir", and one transcription even puts both: the common "drunk in a" at the start, and "drunken midnight choir" in the closing stanza. I can't imagine why they would do that accidentally, but rather that they have uncommonly good ears. JohndanR (talk) 16:55, 11 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
