Non-obvious symbolism[edit]

The mention of "Fc+/Fc" in the Characterisation paragraph looks like a standard elemental redox potential (eg Na+/Na), but there is no element "Fc". It takes a specialist to know that "Fc" is a common abbreviation for the molecule Ferrocene, and that should be explained (briefly, or in a pop-up) in an article to be read by non-specialists. Bob. And it takes a specialist to be interested in such data...--Smokefoot (talk) 18:54, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
So perhaps the sentence shouldn't be there (but the references could remain in See also)... ? A "Characteristic" is intended to help identify the stuff you just made in your test tube, and perhaps the potential is too variable to be much use with that? I totally agree the topic is way out there for someone interested in sandwich compounds and their bonding. Bobgid (talk) 20:28, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
