How about a more in-depth article? Somebody out there got to know their stuff on this...

This page is an embarrassment compared to the iPhone OS or Windows Mobile pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.14.182 (talk) 05:43, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Expert attention

This page is nothing more than a table of numbers and some acronyms. Other mobile and desktop operating systems have a much better layout that explain version differences, history, support, etc. This article is in desperate need of some good information. Perhaps some can be pulled from BlackBerry; I feel that some operating system specific stuff may be hiding in that article and can be moved here. --Chrismiceli (talk) 19:24, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

The table was almost completely useless, so it was removed, and any important information it had was briefly summarized. i'm no expert, but i create several quality telecommunications articles. So that's why i'm inspired to edit BlackBerry OS, to include information such as version history and the latest OS available for each smartphone. --True Tech Talk Time (talk) 14:26, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Question on T-Mobile data

I have a hunch that the changes made by "206.53.153.37" has some errors. In particular, I'm talking about those made at:

_ (cur) (prev) 05:22, 21 February 2010 206.53.153.37 (talk) (7,674 bytes) (undo)
_ (cur) (prev) 05:13, 21 February 2010 206.53.153.37 (talk) (7,579 bytes) (undo)

I noticed that T-Mobile is listed as one of the few, if only cell phone companies that have the 8900 _AND_ offer version 5.0 of the OS. This seems wrong to me. I only have version 4.6.1.231, and I was told at _THAT_ was current. (This also conflicts with the data that was in the article prior to the above mentioned change.) I do not feel qualified to make this change on my own. Can anyone confirm this data?

Shouldn't there be some clarification between the original BlackBerry OS (through 7.1) and BlackBerry 10? Should there be two different articles or could it all be explained in this one? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaiserwil (talkcontribs) 07:01, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

"BlackBerry"

The primary topic of "BlackBerry" is under discussion, see Talk:BlackBerry (company), to determine if BlackBerry or the former Research in Motion (now BlackBerry) is the primary topic. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 15:23, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

BlackBerry 10

The table in the article lists version 10 with the Q10 and Z10 devices alongside. But, I think this may be misleading because BB10 is largely different to BB OS. BlackBerry 10 isn't just the next version of BlackBerry OS, it essentially a new OS. Danrok (talk) 01:26, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

I have removed the devices from the BlackBerry OS page and placed them in BlackBerry 10#Devices, leaving a note on the BlackBerry OS page indicating that for newer BlackBerry devices to look there. I have also clarified on the BlackBerry OS page that BlackBerry 10 is actually a separate operating system. MThinkCpp (talk) 11:34, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Merge blackberry 10 into blackberry OS

Hi could I propose that we merge blackberry 10 into blackberry OS please it just seem that we should include the information in the blackberry OS article 109.151.163.1 (talk) 17:17, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Incorrect, BB10 and BBOS are TOTALLY different, different codebase, ui, apps, developer apis etc. MThinkCpp (talk) 18:46, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
oh ok 109.151.163.1 (talk) 18:47, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
