Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the Black AIDS Institute is a significant organization and this is part of a WikiEducation project and met with approval of the person overseeing this course from the Wikipedia Foundation --Hacarroll (talk) 18:31, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article should not be speedily deleted. The article cites an secondary source from 2001, indicating the organization has been existent for some time, and an article from a Chicago-based source, indicating the organization has some national scope. The organization's website includes their audits and financial statements; these indicate that it has multiple permanent employees and consistently receives funding in excess of $1 million/year.
