Black Ice (synchronized skating team)black ice (synchronized skating team) – Even the sanctioning body of synchronized skating in Canada, Skate Canada, which should be considered a reliable source, uses the unusual spelling "black ice" of the team.[1] Puisque (talk) 20:42, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since when? Sorry, I don't want to sound rude, but aren't reliable sources all Wikipedia is about? Panic! at the Disco is here "Panic! at the Disco", not "Panic at the Disco" just because we find the use of exclamation point incorrect (by normal standards). Same goes for iPhone. -- Puisque (talk) 21:47, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure about the song but iPhone follows a very specific exception in the WP:MOSTM which sates if the article title starts with a lowercase letter, second letter uppercase and the rest of the name follows standard English then the lower case letter can be used. We also don't use NVIDIA despite the fact that is often used and has been supported by Consensus more that once.--174.95.111.89 (talk) 02:04, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
A very, very common misconception, which needs to be better addressed in the WP:MOS I feel. Yes, RS are all Wikipedia is about for content, and for very good reasons. But these reasons don't apply to questions of style, just the opposite. There is every reason for Wikipedia to have our own style guide, and we do. This style guide should change from time to time to better present the content, which is also in a sense all Wikipedia is about, but changing the style guide is not to be done lightly or hastily, again for obvious reasons I think. Content, on the other hand, should be changed instantly that RS are produced that support corrections to it. Does that help? Andrewa (talk) 17:04, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
