Someone said this character was created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. That's not just a lie, that's hilarious!!!

Young Justice[edit]

While it is true that Static takes Black Vulcan's place in the group of young meta kids rescued from the Reach, it's not accurate to say that Black Vulcan was combined with Static. Black Lightning, who is well known to be the basis for Black Vulcan, is actually in Young Justice and later serves as Static's mentor. Static is straight-up Virgil Hawkins from the Static Shock cartoon and the comics (albeit, of course, with adjustments to fit him into the show's lore). There is nothing, to my knowledge, in his lore or powers that is unique to Black Vulcan. CamdenQ (talk) 05:46, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
