Is the book out?[edit]

As of Friday, September 13, I saw a copy in a bookstore and bought it immediately. Is Amazon.com behind the times, or did the bookstore cheat? The new infobox standards want only a year, so I deleted that part, but I have not rewritten the text in the body of the article.

Among various details I noticed, the page count is 477, not 496. And the self-descriptions give absolutely no impression there is anything "cyberpunk" going on. Just a Pynchon-ordinary novel involving the Internet. But the main character is a "woman private investigator" according to the LOC data. Choor monster (talk) 12:32, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not cyberpunk[edit]

The novel is not cyberpunk. The quoted reviewer did not call it a cyberpunk novel. Jarvis said that a certain question is at the heart of cyberpunk, and that this novel deals with that question also. The closest the novel comes to cyberpunk is probably its shout out to Johnny Mnemonic. Choor monster (talk) 14:21, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
