I believe the image for this episode is actually for the preceding episode, Chinese Wall. 67.160.201.203 (talk) 00:44, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A Note Concerning an External Link[edit]

I am writing about an addition I made to the external links for Season 4 and Season 5 of Mad Men which was automatically reverted by your bot. These links are from Kritik, the official weblog of the Unit for Criticism & Interpretive Theory, a recognized institute for cultural studies at the University of Illinois. The Unit for Criticism's multi-authored series of posts on Season 4 and Season 5 of Mad Men is the offshoot of a series of events including a symposium and Duke University Press book on the same topic. Each blog is authored by a recognized expert in cultural history, media studies and/or literary studies. Please do not remove this link as it does comply with Wikipedia policy and guidelines. We would be delighted to answer any questions you may have. 192.17.134.9 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:44, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blowing Smoke (Mad Men)Blowing Smoke – Page was moved to the disambiguated title earlier with no discussion. There are no other articles with the name "Blowing Smoke" on Wikipedia, though there is a "Blowin' Smoke." – Calidum Talk To Me 01:19, 29 May 2014 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). • Oppose: This move would need evidence that the Mad Men episode is the primary topic of this well-worn traditional phrase, one that's been around for years. There is now a DAB page at Blowing Smoke with four entries. EdJohnston (talk) 02:55, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - I moved this per WP:MOVE and WP:DAB, but stand by it. We do not disambiguate by article title, but by content. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:09, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
...incidentally in improving sourcing for this article about an episode on cigarette advertising, it may be possible to source the origin of the episode title. If so (it is currently unsourced) it may indicate awareness that "Blowing Smoke" is the title of several reports, Blowing smoke: how cigarette manufacturers argued that nicotine is not addictive. Tobacco Control, 8:210–213. Slade, J. (2000) and that the screenwriters chose the title aware that it had been used before in relation to cigarette advertising. As it is the article is largely a plot description. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:31, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Not the primary topic and no reason to override the disambiguation page. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:46, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
