Literary folks or Turkish speakers, could you help with this article?[edit]

Some of the dates are not clear regarding the various authors cited in this article. Dates need to be reconciled between the various language Wikipedias by someone who knows where to find reliable info on authors. Also, exactly what was the literary theme of these trips-- discovering past culture? Natural beauty of the area? Encounters with the local folks? A gathering of literati and intellectuals? The article is a bit WP:SPAMmy to start with. Not like an objective npov article like Bodrum, the Aegean Sea, or Patmos. Student7 (talk) 17:48, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The reference listed as #9 in the reference section is blatant advertising, and there's no actual #9 citation anywhere in the article. It should be removed. Unfortunately, I work in the industry and don't want the action to be seen as a conflict of interest. Can someone investigate?

This is my first foray into the world of Wikipedia editing, so constructive feedback is welcomed.
