Changes of 18 April 2011[edit]

Removed and corrected inconsistencies. Also deleted material which is included in the record company history article. The quote from the Peter Losin site also seemed to be an unsustainable overstatemen from an enthusiast's site rather than from a professional critic. Definition of scope needed[edit]

It's clear that this discography covers all the "Alfred Lion" years, and the activity directly after, and through the late-1970s initiatives to mine the vaults. But why does this discography end abruptly around 1987, two years into the relaunch? What's the difference between a Blue Note album released in 1986 and one released in 1989? What makes the former album worthy of inclusion, but not the latter?
