Station layout[edit]

Hi, I removed the station layout however my edit's been reverted, Could someome explain what purpose a station layout serves ? and more to the point what's encyclopedic about it ?, Station facilities are fine however the layout ? ... not so much. –Davey2010Talk 14:09, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Keep: I think the preceeding editors have put the station layout as an easier reference on how the station is structured and in what direction platforms go to. This I think is helpful for travelers whom are accustomed to a reverse of the layout or what to expect in general. Maybe its best we wait and hear what other editors say on this matter but for me I can see a purpose on the layout and therefore vote to keep. Korean Rail Fan 16:26, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
User:Korean Rail Fan - We're not a Travel guide tho .... we're an Encyclopedia ... both are 2 different things, The purpose of an article is to tell our readers about that subject or what we believe is informative and relevant to our readers, To the average world wide reader the station layout is meaningless,
Please see other worldwide train stations such as Rochester railway station, Mons railway station, Pushkinskaya (Saint Petersburg Metro), Les Tres Torres (Barcelona–Vallès Line), Warszawa Ursus Północny railway station and Bostancı railway station - None of these contain any station layouts (One or 2 contains information on platforms which is fine).
Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 17:12, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Given no further replies have been made nor has anyone else chipped in for a whole week I'm going to remove the station layout, Those readding it would now need to seek consensus for its inclusion. Cheers, –Davey2010Talk 12:57, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
