It looks like the 12/31 birthday crept in with this edit on 9/10/2017 - unsourced and never challenged. The Texas Monthly source above and this KHOU^[1] state 1/1/1937 pretty explicitly, which would match the 81 year-old that reliable sources are using. If there's no objections, I think we need to correct that ASAP. Kuru (talk) 03:17, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
