Firing of Prince[edit]

The firing of Bob Prince by Westinghouse and the refusal of Pirates Management to understand the depth of the feeling that people had for Prince was one of the most colossolly stupid moves in the history of modern sports broadcasting. Pirate fans never forgave them for this idiotic move, and to this day, the Pirates have never recovered from the disastrous effect on their fan base from this amazingly arrogant and stupid blunder. KDKA singlehandedly obliterated 55 years of credibility in Pittsburgh. Prince was a genius and he was the Pirates. Figures Westinghouse is practically out of business and owned by a foreign company and the Pirates are mired in their worst losing streak ever.
