Using common sense[edit]

Unnamed officials may have referred to "Surgically implanted improvised explosive devices". I question whether a device that is surgically implanted can meaningfully be referred to as "wiktionary:improvised". So I reverted the undiscussed merge of this article to improvised explosive device. Geo Swan (talk) 12:13, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"The 'Body Cavity Bomb' (BCB) Concept"[edit]

A large section was added that seems to be implying that some guy named Robert J. Bunker is responsible for inventing the concept of a bomb contained in a bomber's body -- and that al Qaeda copied the idea from him.

I have doubts whether this new section is neutrally written.

I am concerned whether it was written by someone in a conflict of interest.

FWIW Gene Wolfe's short story Hour of trust described this kind of suicide bomb several decades ago. Geo Swan (talk) 03:12, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am concerned that this large section you added to the wikipedia's article on Surgically_implanted_explosive_devices doesn't measure up to the wikipedia's standards. Bunker's paper is largely a synthesis from other sources (not that's there's anything wrong with that!) but might better be used as a source for citable sources from WP:RS, instead of being dumped into this article.
